Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
We're looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer to join our high-performing agile squads in a permanent role. You'll work across the full software development lifecycle—designing, building, testing, and supporting impactful digital solutions for Aotearoa. You'll apply modern development practices such as Domain-Driven Design, Microservices, Feature Flagging, and CI/CD. As a cross-functional squad member, you'll help co-own the product alongside developers, testers, and product owners—from ideation to deployment and support.
You'll also contribute to technical strategy and collaborate with your Scrum Master (as work lead), Product Owner, architects, and fellow developers and testers. Strong communication and problem-solving skills will help you influence direction, build consensus, and drive continuous improvement across our SAFe delivery model.

He pūkenga tou - Skills & Experience
- Full stack development using modern development methods
- ReactJS and TypeScript (or similar)
- Kotlin or Java with Spring Boot (or equivalent frameworks)
- Building APIs and web apps following best practices (REST, OpenAPI)
- Git and GitHub for source control
Desirable skills:
- CI/CD tooling (e.g., GitHub Actions)
- AWS CDK or CloudFormation
- Docker and containerised microservices
- Domain modelling and enterprise microservices
- E2E testing with Playwright
- Component testing using Storybook
- Spatial/geospatial tools like GeoServer
The annual full-time salary range for this role is $110,000 to $150,000 depending on skills and experience.
